Ökosystem & Vegetation

Miombo woodlands, extensive floodplains, seasonal swamps, permanent wetlands, slow-moving rivers, and scattered lakes. Part of the Moyowosi-Malagarasi wetlands complex - East Africa's largest wetland system. Miombo woodland dominates higher ground, transitioning to extensive floodplain grasslands and seasonal swamps. Riverine forests along major waterways, papyrus swamps, and aquatic vegetation in permanent wetlands.
