Why visit Serengeti
One of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in the world, known for the annual Great Migration of over 1.5 million wildebeest and 250,000 zebras.
Grassland savanna, acacia woodlands, riverine forests, and open plains. The ecosystem supports diverse habitats from short grass plains to kopjes (rocky outcrops). Grassland plains dominate with scattered acacia trees, particularly umbrella acacias. Western corridor features riverine forests along the Grumeti River. Kopjes support unique plant communities.
