Established in 2019, this vast miombo woodland park protects Tanzania's largest herds of sable and roan antelope along the life-giving Ugalla River.
Ecosystem & vegetation
Extensive miombo woodlands, Zambezian flooded grasslands, tall grass savannas, Ugalla River system (sole permanent dry-season water source). Dominant miombo woodland (unique southern African forest type), tall grasses, Zambezian grassland species, riverine vegetation along Ugalla River.

June to October (dry season - wildlife concentrates near Ugalla River)

Access
Located in Tabora Region, west-central Tanzania. Access from Tabora town. Limited infrastructure as newly established park.
