Depart Arusha after an early breakfast. Drive to Tarangire National Park (2.5 hours, 120km). Enter the park and begin the photography session along the Tarangire River — the perfect setting for elephant portraits as herds cross the sandy riverbed, bathe in the shallows, and interact with calves.
Afternoon
Picnic lunch in the shade of a 1,000-year-old baobab tree — itself a compelling photographic subject. Afternoon photography circuit through the park's southern sectors, focusing on giraffe moving between baobabs, zebra in the golden light, fringe-eared oryx against the savanna, and lesser kudu at the forest edge.
Evening
Drive to your photography-dedicated lodge in the Tarangire area. Equipment download and image review session. Dinner with guide discussing next day's strategy.
