Morning departure from Arusha after breakfast briefing. Drive through Mto wa Mbu market town and along the Rift Valley floor, watching for roadside Maasai herders and distant wildebeest. Ascend the steep rim road through dense cloud forest.
Afternoon
Arrive at the Ngorongoro Crater rim in early afternoon. Check in to your luxury rim lodge perched 2,300 metres above sea level. Enjoy panoramic views of the crater floor 600 metres below. Optional short walk along the rim for first wildlife spotting.
Evening
