Depart Arusha after an early lunch and drive along the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara, about 130km and two and a half hours.
Afternoon
Enter the park gate and begin the afternoon game drive through the groundwater forest, then along the lake shore where the flamingo gather on the alkaline water.
Evening
Leave the park and settle in at the lodge outside it. Dinner, and a briefing for the Ngorongoro day tomorrow.
