A perfect one-day escape from Arusha town into Arusha National Park — a compact, scenic park at the foot of Mount Meru, just a short drive from the city. Explore lush montane forest and the "Little Ngorongoro" Ngurdoto Crater, spot Maasai giraffes, buffalo, zebra and playful colobus monkeys, and take in the flamingo-dotted Momella Lakes. With very few predators, the park is ideal for walking safaris and optional canoeing, offering a relaxed, up-close wildlife experience in a single unforgettable day.

A relaxed full-day safari in Arusha National Park, the closest park to Arusha town. After pickup, drive to the park to explore its montane forest, the Ngurdoto Crater viewpoint and the flamingo-fringed Momella Lakes, with excellent chances of giraffe, buffalo, zebra and colobus monkeys. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park and an optional walking safari or canoe before returning to Arusha in the late afternoon.

Pickup from your Arusha hotel (~08:00) and a short drive to Arusha National Park. Enter through the lush forest — watching for black-and-white colobus monkeys — and stop at the Ngurdoto Crater rim viewpoint, the "Little Ngorongoro".

Continue to the Momella Lakes for flamingos, hippos and waterbirds, with an optional canoe safari. Picnic lunch in the park, followed by a game drive (and an optional guided walking safari) among giraffe, buffalo and zebra.
